Reasons why I love the internet: I look through the “mashup” tag on Tumblr, and within 8 posts, I find a mashup of Call Me Maybe (which I love dearly, in that way that I love really stupid pop songs) and that really awesome electro song from the Absolut Greyhound commercial with the post-apocalyptic robot dog races that always runs during SNL.

And it’s far better than it has any right to be.

An even more accurate summary of my musical taste than the Ice Cube/My Little Pony mashup from a few days back. Also, the part where the bridge of the Haruhi song happens at the same time as the Lupe Fiasco verse is brilliant.

Speaking as the person who’s sitting on Skype providing additional commentary on said performances, can I suggest we make chocolate pudding? 

I finished my freshman year of college and moved out of my dorm on Friday. (Further feels about this will be detailed in another post, to come later.) Because ti’s somewhat difficult to drive to Denton and back in a day, I didn’t actually get home until Saturday. This was my first opportunity to talk to my younger sister in a while. (It’s important to note that my sister is awesome, and we have similar tastes in pop culture/Internet.) So we’re talking about assorted stuff, and she asks me if I’ve seen the season 2 finale of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I had not—she mentions offhand that one of the musical numbers therein basically described her life. 

I remembered this a few minutes ago and actually looked up the musical number in question. It’s called “BBBFF.” It’s about Twilight Sparkle missing her older brother, who is also her best friend forever. So yeah, that.

So, moral of the story: it’s 3 a.m., half of me is a mess of emotions/affection, the other half is scorning myself (and this post) for being the sappiest thing, and my sister is the coolest person ever and I love her a lot, I guess?
